Solo dance holiday: what to ask before booking
Rooms, classes, dance partners and evenings: six things to have confirmed in writing before choosing a solo dance holiday.

Travel solo, with the details clear
You may want to learn where the music is lived without bringing a dance partner. But “solo welcome” does not describe every arrangement. Before paying a deposit, request a written programme and quote for your dates. Use these six themes to compare answers, not just photographs.
This guide prepares your questions; it does not confirm any Puro Estilo service. No stay guarantees dance invitations, your safety or an available place. Check your government’s travel advice and your insurance terms before booking too.
Which room, and what single supplement?
Is the advertised price for a shared room or a private room? What total supplement applies if you want sole occupancy? Club Dance Holidays illustrates this distinction in its FAQ; other operators may work differently.
If you accept sharing, how are your roommate and beds arranged? What happens if nobody can share your room? Ask who pays any resulting supplement and when you can still decline the arrangement. Have the bathroom, location and accommodation substitution terms specified.
Which classes suit your starting point?
How many lessons are scheduled, how long are they, and how many people attend? What is the teaching language? Describe what you can already do rather than writing only “beginner”. Which dance and style are taught? Is there a suitable group for complete beginners?
How is your level assessed, and can you change groups? What happens if a class is too difficult or too easy? Ask about breaks and physical demands. An intensive programme does not guarantee progress; leave room for rest.
How do dance partners rotate in class?
Can you enrol without a partner, and is rotation optional or required? How are leading and following roles organized? What happens when their numbers are uneven? Ask whether a teacher or local dance partner practises with you, and whether that costs extra.
Club Dance Holidays describes rotation on many of its holidays, but distinguishes its ballroom breaks. That example establishes no universal rule. How can you decline a movement, closeness or rotation that feels uncomfortable? Nobody owes you a dance, and you do not owe anyone acceptance.
What support covers evenings and the journey home?
Which outings are accompanied, and by whom? Does that person stay at the venue or only take you to the entrance? Are the evenings suitable for your level? Can you watch or choose not to go out?
Are admission, drinks and return transport included? How do you get back if you leave the group early? Ask for a meeting point, a reachable contact and a procedure for problems. Accompaniment guarantees neither safety nor invitations. Have events reconfirmed shortly before departure.
What exactly does the total include?
Can you receive an itemized list of inclusions and exclusions for your dates? Have nights, meals, classes, outings, transfers, taxes and optional activities detailed. Do transfers match your airport and flight times, or only the group’s?
Are flights, insurance and local charges your responsibility? Which currency is used for extras? Compare quotes with the same inclusions, including any single supplement. Your quiz budget excludes flights; keep a separate allowance for costs outside the quoted programme.
What if you cancel, or the programme changes?
What deposit is required, when is the balance due, and which cancellation fees apply at each deadline? What happens if minimum group numbers are not reached or the operator cancels? How are changes to teachers, accommodation or the programme handled?
Does the contract fall under European package travel rules? Your Europe explains pre-contract information and rights for qualifying packages. Not every holiday or separately booked service automatically falls within those rules. Ask for the contract and check your insurance exclusions.
Then organize your dance, level, dates and budget in the quiz. For a Puro Estilo trip, add your solo questions to your request note. A quiz result is neither a booking nor confirmation of these arrangements.
